1. Who is the Center for Addiction Treatment (CAT)?
Since 1970, the Center for Addiction Treatment (CAT) has provided high-quality affordable treatment for patients with addiction to drugs, alcohol or gambling. As the only non-hospital-based medically monitored detox facility in the region, CAT provides individualized care through short-term residential and intensive outpatient services, medication-assisted treatment, counseling, an after-care program and a comprehensive family education program. Today CAT has thousands of alums who are on the path to recovery and leading sober lives. For more information on treatment for alcohol, drug or gambling addiction visit www.catsober.org.

2.  What is the purpose of the CAT-Walk?
The purpose of CAT-Walk is to “stomp out the stigma of addiction” by raising awareness and funds to support CAT’s programs.  Money raised will go towards paying for treatment for those who otherwise couldn’t afford it.  This family-friendly event helps CAT live out its Mission to Save Lives & Rebuild Families by providing a safe and sober atmosphere for family members and friends to celebrate the joys of recovery.

3. What do you mean by CAT-Walk is "Family Friendly"?
Great question! "Family-Friendly" means our event is open to people of all ages and even pets! The only competition at CAT-Walk 2017 is to see who can raise the most money!

You are more than welcome to bring your little ones; our walking route is 1/2 mile paved loop, very easy to navigate and definitely stroller accessible. Children under the age of five are free. Your friendly, furry, four-legged family members are welcome too, just be sure they are up-to-date on all vaccinations and keep them on a leash at all times in the park. Aggressive dogs are not permitted.
4. Where should I park when I arrive?
Look for the large wooden sign marked GREEN TOWNSHIP ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES--park here!  This parking lot sits just below the actual park.  Parking Attendants will be on hand to guide you.

There is a LIMITED number of handicap spaces so you may need to drop off your passenger closer to the park entrance at the top of the hill and then park your vehicle elsewhere in the main lot below.
5. What's the walk route like and where does it go?
This is a 5K Walk, meaning it's 6 times around the 1/2 mile paved loop at Veterans Park.

You can also opt to do the CAT-Walk LITE Route which is 3 times around the 1/2 mile paved loop.

You can view pictures of Veterans Park here!
6. Tell me more about the raffles!
